About Auke

Auke van Scheltinga is a Senior Software Engineer at Holland Sensor, joining the team in April 2025. He is an entrepreneurial full-stack engineer with a strong focus on building scalable software systems that support the growth of innovative high-tech ventures.

Auke holds a BSc in Computing Science from the University of Amsterdam, which he completed cum laude. His career spans both large-scale public platforms and fast-moving start-ups, giving him a rare combination of reliability, speed, and architectural insight.

He previously worked as a solution architect at Stater, coordinating software architecture across multiple agile teams serving hundreds of daily users. Earlier, he contributed to DigiD, the Dutch national digital identity system, where reliability, security, and scalability were critical at national scale. In addition, Auke gained hands-on entrepreneurial experience working with several US-based start-ups, helping to prototype and scale new digital products.

At Holland Sensor, Auke designs and builds software platforms that enable secure data flows, scalability, and long-term product growth. He is bringing a pragmatic and responsible mindset to both technology and teamwork.

With a background in Computer Science Auke brings over two decades of software engineering experience in both startups and corporates to Holland Sensor.
