About Esther

Esther Lozeman is Research Manager at Holland Sensor, joining the team in September 2025. She is a multidisciplinary scientist with a strong background in analytical electrochemistry and sensor engineering, specializing in miniaturized and on-chip systems.

Esther holds a BSc and MSc in Sensor and Data Engineering from Hanze University of Applied Sciences and earned her PhD at the University of Twente, where her research focused on electrochemical sensors for microfluidic systems. Her academic work bridges fundamental science and applied technology, with a clear focus on precision, scalability, and real-world usability.

Following her PhD, Esther continued her research internationally as a postdoctoral researcher and Humboldt Fellow, working on advanced microdroplet platforms for chemical reactors and biomolecule engineering. This experience further strengthened her ability to translate complex research into robust, high-performance sensor technologies.

At Holland Sensor, Esther leads research initiatives at the intersection of electrochemistry, microfluidics, and data-driven sensing. Esther brings a thoughtful, detail-driven approach to both scientific leadership and collaboration.

With over 10 years of experience in electrochemical techniques, Esther brings not only technical depth, but also a research-driven mindset and a passion for strengthening and inspiring the team.
