About Xander
Xander van Mechelen is a builder and innovator with a strong focus on accelerating B2B growth through new ideas, products, and strategic partnerships. As CTO of Holland Sensor since September 2024, he brings together technical depth, commercial insight, and a passion for building high-performing teams that deliver breakthrough innovation.
Xander holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Twente and completed advanced business and strategy education at IMD Business School, as well as Strategy & Organisation studies at the University of Groningen. His career spans global corporates and fast-growing technology companies, combining environmental, engineering, and commercial leadership.
He gained early experience in environmental roles within refineries at ExxonMobil, followed by several years in new business development at Essent / RWE. Later, he held senior global leadership positions across sales, R&D, and general management at companies such as Kipp & Zonen, Danaher, Hach, and OTT HydroMet. Most recently, Xander worked on product development and strategic sales partnerships at Luxexcel and Meta.
His leadership style reflects a long-term mindset — focused on collaboration, innovation, and building technology that creates lasting value.
